Aveda, Earthbound Farms, O Organics and The Organic Center leaders rally at Clif Bar’s headquarters

The Organic Center, a leading research and education non-profit focused on the science of organic food and farming, rallied organic advocates and influencers this past Saturday at Clif Bar’s Berkeley headquarters for their 5th annual Bay Area fundraiser. Joined by industry leaders such as founder of the Aveda Corporation Horst Rechelbacher, co-founder of Earthbound Farms Myra Goodman and chairman of United Natural Foods (UNFI) Michael Funk, among others, joined attendees as they enjoyed organic hors d’oeuvres and libations prepared by celebrity chef Domenica Catelli and experienced a mini film festival including clips from Food Inc, Fresh, The Future of Food and other inspiring films.

Other notable guests included Alex Petrov, president of Lucerne Foods (O Organics); Jeff Mendelsohn, president of New Leaf Paper; Deborah Koons Garcia, director, writer and producer of The Future of Food documentary; and Howard Schiffer, founder and president of Vitamin Angels.
